Race Series® oil system packs for M8 include a Race Series® oil pump, high‑flow camplate machined from 7075 billet aluminum, full‑travel or short‑travel hydraulic roller lifters, cam installation kit, cam bearing, cam/crank bolts and washers, and engine assembly lube.
The billet 7075 camplate and pump increase oil flow and volume by enlarging pump reservoirs and matching oil portholes to the engine case, improving oil delivery to lifters, piston cooling jets, crankshaft and rod bearings for cooler, quieter operation.
FUELING® oil pumps are bench tested with the relief valve seated and sealed to a minimum of 30 psi and a full pop off at 55–60 psi, providing 10–30 lbs more oil pressure and resolving common pressure and scavenge issues including wet sumping and blow by.
Tested gains include up to 42% more scavenge volume, 68% more oil volume to the crank and connecting rod bearings, engine temperatures 15°–25° cooler, oil temperatures 15°–30° cooler, and dyno results showing about 2 hp and 2 ft·lb torque to the rear wheel.
Race Series® full‑travel lifters provide .200″ total travel for heavy spring pressures and steep camshafts; short‑travel lifters provide .115″ total travel to reduce valve float and oil aeration while maintaining quiet operation.
