The outer composite shell is lightweight and durable, with an aerodynamic profile engineered to reduce friction on impact and help deflect force away from the head toward the neck and spinal column.
Ventilation is exceptional: 20 individual intake and exhaust ports (not including the eye port), arranged as 13 intakes and 8 exhausts for continuous airflow and rider cooling. 🌬️
A patented visor detaching system is engineered to automatically release the visor when subjected to impact energies above 15 joules, optimizing protection regardless of strike direction. Alpinestars' patented Plasma technology is integrated into the side pads for high‑performance shock absorption in critical areas to significantly reduce injury risk.
Comfort features include removable, washable linings; 3D foam cheek pads with an emergency extraction system (ERS) and a channel for hydration tube routing; and a crown pad elastically linked to the neck pad to improve oblique impact management. The top pad is removable and height‑adjustable via the A‑head system.
The chin strap uses a 25 mm nylon web with stainless steel DD rings and removable covers for easy washing. Shell sizing ensures each fit size has an appropriately scaled shell for a more anatomical fit, with three shell sizes (M, L, XL) and six consumer sizes (XS–XXL) to improve comfort, protection and weight distribution.
Fit is further customizable with genuine replacement cheek pads available in multiple thicknesses and interchangeable across shell sizes. Integrated channels on both sides accommodate a hydration system, and a left‑side EPS cutaway plus speaker recesses on both sides enable easy installation of communication systems. 🔧
