Impact and abrasion resistance come from multiple TPU protectors on the shin, side, toe box, calf, heel and outer ankle, supported by a patented ankle brace protector for added stability. The anatomically designed footbed raises the heel to optimize fit around the ankle and calf, while an inside protector increases metatarsal flexibility to assist forward and backward movement.
Comfort and control are enhanced by a three-stage instep/ankle flex zone and a contoured, dual-compound rubber sole with a stamped steel shank for durability in high-wear areas. Closure is via three low-profile aluminum buckles with memory, self-alignment, micro adjustments and a quick-release/locking system; the top and bottom reverse-closure design improves impact avoidance and fit.
