This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness, engineered to deliver an optimal combination of impact protection and low weight. The outer shell is produced in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium and Youth Large) and the helmet weighs approximately 1060 g.
The fit can be tailored to the rider’s head using crown and cheek pads available as spare parts in different thicknesses. Youth Medium and Youth Large sizes share the same EPS size, allowing a growing rider to move from YM to YL by changing pads, while Youth Small uses a smaller EPS and can be customized via the cheek pads only.
A multi-density inner liner places the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption while helping to reduce overall weight. Inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts, and a patented low-friction coating applied to the main EPS liner acts as a slip plane to reduce rotational acceleration from certain oblique impacts.
A patented visor release system ensures the visor releases with a pre-determined amount of force to help reduce neck loading during an impact. Additional safety features include an emergency release system, removable cheek pads for safe helmet removal while on, 3D contoured foam for comfort, a soft 25 mm textile chin strap for comfort and safety, and stainless steel D-rings for secure retention.
Ventilation is maximized with 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports; the visor is designed to channel air into the ports for improved airflow. The comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint, and hydration tube channels are integrated into the cheek pads for convenience and performance. 🌿
