Youth S-M3 Fray Helmet

The all-new SM3 Youth Helmet is specifically engineered for young riders, offering optimal performance for MX, Enduro, and Off-road use. This lightweight helmet is designed with a thermo-injected shell made from a special polymer blend, which varies in thickness to ensure the ideal balance of impact protection and minimal weight.

Constructed with a technologically advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic, the outer shell comes in three sizes: Youth Small, Youth Medium, and Youth Large, with the helmet weighing an impressive 1060g. The fit can be customized to suit the rider's head with interchangeable crown and cheek pads available in different thicknesses.

The Youth Medium and Youth Large share the same EPS size, allowing for easy size adjustments as the rider grows. The Youth Small has a distinct EPS size and can only be adjusted using the cheek pads. Extensive research indicates that riders in the YS size category are typically aged 3 to 4 years, necessitating a dedicated helmet fit.

With a multi-density inner liner designed for optimal impact absorption, the helmet effectively minimizes the effects of oblique impacts. Alpinestars' patented low friction coating on the EPS liner reduces rotational acceleration forces, mimicking the brain's natural defenses against such impacts.

The innovative visor release system ensures safe detachment with minimal force during an impact, reducing neck strain. The comfort liner is made from recycled materials, contributing to a lower carbon footprint, while integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads enhance convenience.

In terms of safety, Alpinestars has established a robust in-house standard for the SM3 Youth, optimizing shell thickness and design for superior chin impact performance. The helmet features an Emergency Release System for safe and easy cheek pad removal, alongside 3D contoured foam for maximum comfort. The soft textile chin strap measures 25mm for enhanced safety, and stainless steel D-rings provide a secure fit.

Maximized ventilation is achieved through 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports, with the visor designed to channel air into these ports for improved airflow.
