Construction and protection

The shell and liner architecture use a multi-composite approach combined with an epoxy resin bond to optimize strength and energy management. Layered materials and a four-density EPS liner disperse and absorb impact forces efficiently.

Key protection elements include a high-density carbon outer layer for improved strength, a uni-directional carbon composite layer for radial strength and controlled deflection, and an aramid fiber layer for penetration resistance. The redesigned chin bar includes a sculpted relief area to clear the collarbone and a softer EPS section covered by a flexible rubber compound to reduce the risk of collarbone injury.

Composition: 20% polyurethane, 17% polychloroprene, 16% carbon fiber, 14% fiberglass, 12% polystyrene (EPS), 7% aramid fiber, 7% polyamide, 4% PVC, 2% steel, 1% expanded polypropylene.
