Direct Drive 7-Speed Gear Set

The Direct Drive 7-Speed Gear Set is a direct replacement for the Cruise Drive Harley-Davidson factory 6-speed, providing an enhanced riding experience. The additional 7th gear allows for optimal utilization of the torque and power generated by the 96 ci, 103 ci, and 110 ci motors through effective gear ratio management.

Unlike the stock mainshaft, which features 1st through 4th gears, the DD7 is designed to be lightweight, incorporating only a compact 1st gear to minimize shift clunk. This design ensures a smooth and powerful riding experience with continuous acceleration from 1st to 4th gear.

Shift smoothness is achieved thanks to a new linear roller ball detent included with the supplied billet top cover. The gear set comes ready for installation with no case modifications, shimming, or adjustments required.

Included in this set are the 7th main drive gear, main drive gear bearing, and main drive seal necessary to replace the 6th main. Additionally, the package includes a polished door, door gasket, side cover gasket, top cover gasket, and a self-adhesive DD7 side cover emblem.

The bearing door is made from 6061-T6 Aluminum, featuring wider bearings and a bearing retainer plate instead of the standard snap rings, with DD7 door bearings being 28% wider than stock. Proudly made in the U.S.A.
