This head temperature sensor is an electronic engine management sensor mounted on the cylinder head. 🔥

  • Measures the temperature of the cylinder head and sends data to the ECU.
  • The ECU uses the signal to calculate ignition timing and fuel ratio.
  • Like all sensors, it can fail over time and may cause long cranking, decreased power, sluggish acceleration, and reduced fuel economy.
  • If the check engine light is on, have the codes scanned — a faulty cylinder head temperature sensor may be the cause.
